Works > Biodegradable drawings and Archive Drawings of Biodegradable drawings

This is a project in futility.
Taking old national geographic articles relating to conservation efforts, wilderness, solar nuclear and wind technology from the 1970's and 80's and redrawing them trump loi el on biodegradable vegetable based plastic bags, integrating the language and imagery from the 70's with the contemporary language and imagery found on the bags to exemplify how far we have not come.

The drawings, because they were drawn on biodegradable plastic, will be lost to history sooner than the original articles they archive. As a way to mitigate this, the archive drawings themselves are then redrawn again trump loeil style on new bags. Inefficiently adding new layers of packaging to the drawings and chasing the lost memory of the original.
