On Solstice 36 of these Metabolic Rifts sculptures where installed on The Great Highway while it was closed to car traffic. Musicians Mia Pixley and Sami Freeman where invited to play music to the plants to thank them for their work of living and the season of community engagement after being brought to beach cleanups with Surfrider SF, workshops with Far Out West community Dune Garden ,and other community events where the filming for the final video installation occurred.
